Remnants - Protoype

Remnants is a game about a long-forgotten land of machines, where the player finds themselves, a wisp, trapped in a desolate laboratory/factory, a metal prison. Trying to escape this facility the wisp (player) will possess different robots and machines, giving these machines back their lost power, unlocking the secrets of this past civilization and finding the meaning of its own existence. 

A simple, easy-thinking third-person puzzle game about machines and souls.

You can possess different characters and objects scattered around the environment to solve the puzzle of how to progress to the next room.

In wisp form, you fly around and can pass through vents/glass but are blocked by special force fields. You also can’t interact with control panels which are used to open the door to the next room.

Possessing the robots scattered throughout the facility allows you to access these control panels. You can also possess many other things such as box droids to provide the robot with something to jump off and conveyor belts to move objects in unreachable positions. As you possess new machines and progress through the levels, the past of the robot you are possessing flash on screen (or you are given lore text files).
